We assess your garage door type, material, and condition — checking for rust, corrosion, and surface damage.
Cleaning & Degreasing
The door is thoroughly cleaned. UPVC surfaces are treated with Kolorbond WindowPrep; metal surfaces are degreased with a specialist solvent degreaser.
Rust Treatment & Surface Repair
Any surface rust on steel doors is treated with a rust converter. Dents, scratches, and holes are filled and feathered.
Abrading & Keying
All surfaces are lightly sanded or abraded to create the optimal mechanical key for the primer and topcoat.
Masking & Protection
The garage floor, brickwork, surrounding fascia, and driveway are fully protected with static masking film and professional masking tape.
Priming
The appropriate primer system is applied by spray — etch primer for bare metal, Kolorbond preparation for UPVC/aluminium.
Topcoat Application
A minimum of two full topcoats are applied using professional HVLP or airless spray equipment, achieving an even, consistent finish.
De-mask, Inspect & Handover
All masking is removed. We carry out a full quality inspection covering every panel and profile before handover.
