Free Survey & Consultation
We visit your home, assess your kitchen's condition, material type, and current finish. We discuss colour options and recommend the correct primer and topcoat system.
Door & Drawer Removal
All cabinet doors and drawer fronts are removed and laid flat for priming and spraying — achieving a far superior finish than coating doors in situ.
Surface Preparation & Filling
All surfaces are cleaned with professional degreaser. Chips and imperfections are filled with Helmi Furniture Filler, sanded smooth, and keyed for the primer.
Masking & Protection
All worktops, appliances, walls, and flooring are fully protected using masking film and professional tape before spraying begins.
Primer Application
The correct primer system is applied by HVLP spray — Helmi Wood Primer for solid wood, Otex Akva for laminates and melamine, or Morrells 600/619 for MDF.
Inter-Coat Sanding
After the primer coat has fully dried, all surfaces are lightly sanded to remove raised grain and dust nibs before the topcoat is applied.
Topcoat Application — Minimum Two Coats
Two full coats of the specified Helmi, Morrells, or 2K system are applied by HVLP spray with adequate drying time between coats.
Reassembly & Final Inspection
Once fully cured, doors and drawers are refitted. We carry out a full quality inspection before leaving.
